Introduction
Purpose and Vision The haPPIE™ SHE Cares project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at improving perinatal mental health support for Black and Ethnically Minoritized (BEM) women.
This project addresses systemic barriers to care by co-creating culturally sensitive pathways, tools, and resources to empower communities and enhance healthcare experiences.
Pre-Start Checklist
Completion of required documents.
Attendance at the first training session.
Recruitment of 10 committed participants.
Familiarisation with training materials.
Commencement of community-based support groups.

Payment and Expectations
For DCGL Remumeration:
● £250 per day (excluding VAT) for 11 days over six months.
● Covers training, bi-weekly sessions, feedback meetings, and project-related activities.
For Participants Remumeration:
● There will be a £200 payment made to each person who joins in and helps us. Please be aware we are looking at increasing the payment to show how much we appreciate your time and feedback.

What support will I receive as a DCGL?
● Comprehensive training. ● Access to the haPPIE™ SHE Cares Toolkit and live feedback loop forum. ● Regular support from the education and resource development team and the Project Manager.
What happens if I can’t recruit 10 participants?
We’ll provide strategies and guidance to help you recruit, but you will be expected to secure and support participants as an essential part of your contract.
How will feedback be used?
Insights will directly shape the haPPIE™ SHE Cares Toolkit and pathway, ensuring they reflect community needs.
What compensation will I receive?
DCGLs will receive £250 per day (excluding VAT) for 11 days. Participants will receive PPIE remuneration for their time.
